Questions about the DLC, not there yet

Post » Thu Feb 07, 2013 11:16 am

Hi there everyone. I'm not in Dragonborn or Dawnguard yet, have both but have some things to do yet. My questions are regarding the dragons. #1 can you fly a dragon from Dawnguard back to the mainland? #2 Can you use shouts or fire arrows from a dragon's back or is the combat only dragon while in flight? #3 Does your follower fly with you or just meet up with you later after you've dismounted and entered a new cell? Or #4 is the dragon considered a follower at that point and you'd have to go look the follower up later? #5 Can you use the same shout to make dragon mounts on the mainland after you've returned there?

I assume No, No, yes, no and yes but would like definitive answers. Thanks!

1. Nope. Also, bear in mind you don't actually control dragons when you fly them, it's pre-determined paths.
2. Nope. You can "command" the dragon to attack something but no control over your own combat.
3. They just meet up with you AFAIK.
4. No, it's considered a mount.
5. Yes, you can.

Please don't expect full on dragon flying however. It's nothing like that, and while cool you'll be disappointed if you expect proper mounts.

1) I don't believe so, but I've never tried it.

2) Not sure.

3) You fly on your own, and your follower catches up with you.

4) Nope, not as far as I know.

5) Sure can!
