What is a good way of doing the assassination kills with a Pure mage build? Cause basically I'm playing a Thalmor Mage build that was sent to Skyrim

to personally oversee the assassination of the Emperor himself.

Might want to throw some spoiler tags in there, just saying.

Try using spells like fury or frenzy, those usually work well. And as the guy above me said, please use spoiler tags next time.

How do I use Spoiler tags?

Illusion works well, get silent casting.

for spoilers, use [ spoiler] [ /spoiler] without any spaces and put the text in between those boxes

I edited my post to include Spoiler tags. So the best way to do the DB questline is frenzy spells and quiet casting if it requires stealth then right?

Illusion magic should be your best friend.

Yeah, that works pretty good. You could use a destruction spell as well, provided you have some good cover. You only really need the frenzy ones when you have to deal with people in the city like the Wedding at Solitude, or Nilsine Shatter-Shield.

A mixture of conjuration and illusion. Frenzy those you can and conjure/enthrall bodyguard for those you can't.

My mage/assassin so far has used a heavy dose of Illusion and Sneak.
Secondary skills are Conjuration(reanimated zombies only) and Archery, for the bound bow,and I simply love archery.
Other assassin skills she uses include Alchemy and Pickpocket.

Archery and Pickpocket are good ways to deliver those poisons you make with Alchemy.
Allthough you could easily replace those skills with Destruction(make sure you get the quite casting perk),Alteration(for paralyze) and Enchanting.

I chose Archery,Pickpocket and Alchemy because those skills fit my characters personallity.
Conjuration is a perfect match for my vampire, she is a vampire lord after all.

Also I consider my character to be very close to a pure mage.
With only 3 points going into health and 1 point going into stamina(that was a wasted point I think) and everything else going into magick( level 28 so far ).
She relies very heavily on her magick.
She can't take but one or two hits but she is very good at what she does, and that is killing things.

Here's to happy hunting :foodndrink:

I've always felt what Festus recommends would be rather amusing. Walk right up to them, introduce yourself, melt their face off and run like the wind.

Try travelling to another city(by foot),then sleep.
Heck,if you travell by foot you most likely get a note from a courier before you sleep.
