Quick Navmesh question

Post » Fri Dec 21, 2012 10:41 am

I'm trying to navmesh a custom interior, and when I go to check it using the navmesh toolbar, one triangle appears as bright green. When i check for errors, I don't have any. I'm wondering what this bright green triangle means.

Here's a picture of what I mean http://i49.tinypic.com/30hlgr4.png

After Finalizing Interiors and Exteriors, check each door to make sure that it has a green triangle nearby. When an actor stands on that triangle, they can use the door. If no green triangle exists near a door, the AI will not be able to use the door.

Yup, that's a good thing. That's where Actors will go to use the nearby door.

EDIT: By the way, make sure your navmesh doesn't clip through walls like it does on the left of the door, and you don't need it to go into the door since an actor cannot walk there. NAvmesh should only be where actors can physically put their feet. So it never goes in things, under tables, through walls, etc.
