Quick Questions, Quick Answers

I have a small question, so I'd figure I;d start a QQ/QA thread for the benefit of all.

I'll go first.

How do you manipulate items in the game? In oblivion it was the 'Z' key if I remember correct. This allowed you to move objects around without and rather than picking them up.

I seem to be unable to do this so far in Skyrim.

Anyone know?

Check the controls in the menu, I'm positive it can be done in this game.

Apparently, You hold 'E'.

Which is the default action button.

But there is a big letdown I notice.

You can only move items that you can pick up, or bodies.

So everything else in the world that has physics, like chains, skeletons etc, can't be manipulated in this way.

Here goes my dream of decorating my house with ribcages.

Holding down E does work, but it's a bad choice considering it's also the "pick up" key.

Indeed.

Have you noticed the above as well?

Being unable to manipulate other objects except by bumping in to them?
