'Quick Reflexes' Perk bug

Post » Fri May 18, 2012 8:31 pm

PC Specs:

- Windows 7 64 Bit
- Coolermaster Praetorian 732 Case
- Intel Core 2 CPU 6600 Processor @ 2.66GHz
- 6G Geil DDR2 Ram
- Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTX
- DFI LANPARTY UT CFX3200-T2R/G Motherboard
- Enermax Liberty 620W Power Supply
- Barracuda 7200.9 SATA 500-GB Hard Drive
- Steelseries 5Hv2 Headset

TEH PROBLEM! =D :
When I block and the quick reflexes perk activates it seems to activate for a very very long time. I'm talking 10 minutes non-stop. Everything but myself goes into super-duper slow matrix Neo dodging bullets mode while I move around wedging my axe Ol' Trusty in their backs. I do not regain Magika, health, Stamina or Shout charge when this happens though and also I can't loot anything when it happens :(

Same here, they need to fix this ASAP. It's a game breaking bug. I couldn't find myself playing it, feel like I'm cheating

Just started happening to me today.

At first it only lasted a couple seconds longer than usual and it only happened once in a while.
Now it happens every time I block, and it seems to last forever. I've stopped using a shield all together because of this bug.

It happened to me as well. I'm wondering how many people who have been using shields intensively in combination with the 'quick reflexes' perk ran into this bug. It can't be that many, since this is really a game breaking bug.

Does reloading an older savegame where the bug wasn't present yet work? Not sure, haven't tried it myself yet.

Currently, I'm looking to remove and perhaps later add the perk again via the console:

To find the perk ID for the Block perk Quick Reflexes, type:
code:

help "Quick Reflexes" 4

One result should be:
code:

PERK: (000D8C33) 'Quick Reflexes'

Leading zeros can be omitted.

To add or remove this perk
code:

player.addperk 000D8C33
player.removeperk 000D8C33

I am getting this bug as well, it is impossible for me to play with this perk. It really svcks because my character is shield based and I feel I am missing out not having it. Maybe I'll make another character until it is patched.

If you use my method above to remove and then add the perk to your game via the console, the perk will return to it's normal behaviour. I just tried it out in my own game, it works. If it might become bugged again sometime in the future, I could always do it again. Not much work at all.

Now you all won't have to start over or stop using shields 'till a patch arrives that fixes this issue

I removed the perk because of this issue, meh it's the least of my problems.
