I'm quite pleased with the difficulty of this game.

I'm playing on master difficulty. I made it a bit tougher using the console to zero out my skills. All in all, it's challenging, engaging, and addicting. All the things you want in an RPG. I'm quite satisfied.

You died six times in Bleak Falls? I know you're on Master, but there was barely enough enemies there to do anything to me.
I hope all dungeons aren't that... devoid of enemies.

I have the golden claw quest and the another quest going at the same time in this location. There are tons of enemies. Heh, you can get killed instantly by the traps in this place. :)

Agree with OP. Difficulty range seems just about right so it feels like a real accomplishment to get through that place.

A side-note: when changing Difficulty on the PC, it got stuck at Novice and wouldn't change with mouse or right/left arrows. To resolve this I exited the menu and went back into the Gameplay menu, then used the down-arrow to scroll down the list to the last item, and then scrolled back up to Difficulty with up-arrow, and THEN I could change the Difficulty. Wierd.

Yeah, I was doing the Golden Claw and the other one, and I died about 5 times, on normal difficulty. One fight I was fighting about 5 Draugr at once.

Yeah same here, besides attacking Giants, I've died in areas too. One particular quest last night involved dealing with some men and their leader who duel wields. I handle his men fine, but as soon as he comes and attacks me, I'm dead quickly.

I used the traps. They work on enemies too. :)

Definitely. I started on Expert and will continue that way. And NEVER change it. The game's much more intense and satisfying that way! The Draugr boss in Bleak Falls chased me across half the dungeon last night, I was forced to use my bow and healing spells, even though I'm primarily an axe+shield-fighter.

You're not alone. I'm playing on adept cos I'ma nooblet. My first session yesterday was 12 hours long, I died at least 20 times. I accomplished a lot though.

I'm currently playing on Expert and love it! As a dual wielding, light armor wearing Nord, I found myself dieing to Two-Handed weapon Bandit Captains a lot. They would kill me in two hits and I would see finishing moves on me.

The Nord Battle Cry, where enemies flee for 30 seconds, is coming in very handy with elite NPCs.

Im level 24 and Dwemer ruins still fill me with dread.
Im happy I chose sneaking as a skill to focus on, just storming in there would be suicide.
If I get unlucky and they spot me too soon its still suicide.
3 falmer and one of those bug things.. *shiver*

Damn, 24 and still scared of those places... :/ I'm 14, mage, and really hate them. If I didn't have conjuration, I wouldn't know what to do.

Boy , that was an intense fight!

Particularly more so for me, since it was dual wielder vs dual wielder :P

Also loving the difficulty of the game and actually "needing" to use all tools available: scrolls, potions, weapon/armor enhancements etc.

Only thing I worry about (being an Xbox player) is that I'll eventually get too good on Master mode and want even more of a challenge. My PC can handle ultra settings, so somewhere in the future I might move away from console if only for that reason.
