Race Heights?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 1:07 am

Are there any details known about the heights of the races? In oblivion I always hated playing as a male wood elf cause I was shorter than every other character other than another male wood elf. I also hated playing as a high elf for that reason, It was like playing as a giant regardless of gender.

I always wanted to play a Nord in Oblivion, but went with imperial just because I didnt want to tower over people. Skyrim being populated with a lot of Nords however, I think I will fit right in.

They will be the same as Oblivion. You know, Bosmer are supposed to be short, HIGH Elfs are supposed to be tall.

I want to be a freak bosmer, tall one. My main in Oblivion is bosmer and always pisses me when I am the shortest person in any place.
I am not going to mention the horses, they scale with your char and become smaller copies of a normal horse.

This time I am rolling a Nord, atleast my first char. I am 1,90 cm in real, so I am not used to being a small guy. :)

Yes bosmer are supposed to be shorter than average, but having the males like midgets and females rather tall is just wrong. And not even "high" elves should be taller than a hulking nord.

I don't know if its lore, but I kind of liked having the typical tall man short woman being switched around. It makes the wood elves more "other" and exotic.

High Elves are everything regal. That includes being tall. They're the oldest, longest-lived, and most intelligent of all the races, so logically by fantasy standards, they're going to be the tallest.
