RAGE Blue Command Prompt Error When Opening

My friend is having an issue and I wanted to help him out by posting this here. Please respectfully take a look at this post please.

"I Just bought rage on a sale for $14.99 and when i try to open the game up a blue command prompt pops up and it says"

Laptops are not generally made for gaming. Also you are using an Intel graphics chip, and I don't think it has the required OpenGL features. Sorry, but you may never be able to play the game.

I'm pretty sure all Computers can run video games.
Like the Alienware MX18s are gaming Laptops. So generally yes, they are made for gaming.

Sure, you can play a lot of old games with most laptops, but that setup you have isn't meant for any of the modern games out there. The Intel graphics just won't cut it for most games. If you had an Nvidia or AMD graphics chip you would be ok.

I was able to get Rage to run on a Intel Graphs chip with updated drivers. It played but at a low FPS.

Rage just doesn't come on, I go to launch Rage. And a blue console pops up saying

"GL_ARB_draw_elements_base_vertex not available"

Yes, that is a part of the OpenGL system that isn't supported with your graphics.

Must been because I have the Intel HD chipset that it worked for me with the latest driver.

Give it a try, but first make a restore point before installing so you can revert back if there are problems.
