So I have been waiting for this game a long time, and couldn't wait to play it, it looks like I will have to wait a lot longer now.

I start up the game through steam, it loads just fine, opening scene and inside the ark looking up and down to calibrate my mouse all works.

However I start to notice when I turn there is a split second where textures are not loaded as I turn my head.

I hit e to get outside, game instantly crashes.

I also just downloaded the new Rage drivers for AMD but they have not helped at all.

I am extremely upset as I have bought a game that shouldn't have been released with all the bugs on launch day.

My specs are the following:

i7980x 6 core at 3.3
2 ATI Radeon HD 5870's at 1 GB each
12 GB

Has anyone found a solution or is this a twiddle my thumbs till they fix this game problem?

Edit : Did a complete uninstall of my AMD drivers reinstalled with http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1236714-fixed-amd-rage-driver/

Game doesn't crash and no pop up issues now, only issue is occasional vertical bar of blurry pixels in middle of the screen sometimes.

The blurry vertical line pixels is enough to make me not want to play this game until this game is fixed.

Exact same problem,

2 6870's at 1GB each
4 GB RAM

Gonna check if disabling crossfire works as that would be something similar in our systems.

Negative, stillllllll freezes when leaving the Ark, sighhhh.

I got it to work by uninstalling/deleting everything AMD/ATI with driver sweep then installed this driver http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1236714-fixed-amd-rage-driver/

Still texture pop up issues but not like I was having and no crash after leaving ark. There is also screen tearing that is annoying, I am assuming if they gave us Vsync we wouldn't have the screen tearing issue, My CCC won't open so I can't force Vsync in game sadly, hopefully they will get this fixed.

Also do this http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1236544-texture-cache-folder-fix/ After I did that seemed to be fixed, game isn't screen tearing hardly anymore hardly any text pop ups, basically game is playable in my eyes now.

I am just in the middle of trying this, will reply if this solves it for me as well. Forcing Vsync does fix the tearing for me, so hopefully you are able to get CCC opened soon.

That fixed it, game looks and runs great now.

Don't really notice too much texture pop-in either.
