Allright,
I got Rage Anarchy Edition from the UK latley (Im German) and After some Key Problems at first I installed it. During the install of CD 2 I needed to quit the installation. I downloaded the rest 1,3 GB from Steam.
Now, I got the following Issues no matter what I do:
1. No rotating wingstick during the message "Saving Content Please Wait"
2. Varing performance. When I load the last save for the first time: 39fps. When I load it for the second time: 70-100fps.
3. 1 Second freezes all 5-10 seconds. Sometimes these freezes get harder and make the game unplayable.
4. Texture Streaming errors, somtimes hard, sometimes not noticeable.
5. The Game seems to forget the Settings I set. It sets them back, without showing it in the settings menu. (Example: The button "Anti-Alaising" shows 16x but its still 8x and I only can change it when I set it to 8x and then back to 16x)
6. Sometimes blurry textures like hell.
My system specs:
Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 1GB
AMD Phenom II X2 550 3,1 Ghz
4GB Ram
Windows 7 64-bit
Can anyone please help me? Letting Steam Check the Game for errors makes it even worse.
I did the following things: (Nothing solved all problems)
1. I reinstalled it (From CD)
2. I checked the Steam Cache for errors
My next step would be downlaoding it from Steam.

Go into your steam library page, right click Rage...go to properties...set launch options... insert "+jobs_numThreads 0" without the quotes.

What will that do?
I am going to download it again tomorrow. Thanks for the quick reply however. A sparkle of hope in the darkness.

That limits the number of threads. It is mostly for dual core CPU's. It helps with the stuttering.

I am going to download the game over Steam since the CD seems to cause errors. Will your tip also help me with the performance drop or/and the texture Streaming? And if not, do you have an Idea what to do?
