Rage Modding Support

Edit: Just noticed this thread down below. Forums seems to move slowly.

So I read that Rage's modding tools are still being considered. Read it here.

the Rage tools are in final testing, should release soon. I feel awful that it has taken so long.

Also read about a 64-bit client, which is pretty cool if we do get it. Not sure if this game has any memory issues, I haven't noticed (picked up the id developer pack from Steam last night, which was an awesome deal <3 id. Now I have some Wolfenstein and Doom to play on the netbook when traveling).

As of playing Rage last night (just completed the first mission I would guess, the bandits and the starting area) I had a lot of fun.

The one thing that really caught my attention was the impact that bullets had. Enemy comes out brandishing a knife and tries to cut me down, I fire my first round at his right shoulder and he actually rolled back to the right, spun around and continued pursuit. <-- This is awesome, more games need this.

So I guess my question is. Can we look forward to higher res texture packs or maybe completely new content made by users? Is the modding community still here?

Only got 30 minutes of play, Steam servers were crashing left and right because of the summer sale and an 18GB download is nothing to shake a stick at. Look forward to playing some more this weekend.
