[Oddities]
- As soon as I started the game in Dan's garage, in the bathroom, the light above the sink, it shines on the sink and the floor but my hand and gun are still dark as if I were in a room with no lights. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28211416/2011-10-13_00001.jpg
- Light beam shooting concrete? By the zipline in the Ghost Hideout. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28211416/2011-10-13_00002.jpg
[Observations]
- (CPU Usage) Core 1,2,4,5 - Usually under 25% Core 3 - Usually above 51% Core 7 & 8 will swap back and forth with 100% and 0%, It's one or the other no simulatneous usage, and Core 6 floats between 0% and 2% occasionaly.
-Slight slow loading textures in some areas and some significant frame rate drops while looking at certain views of the same area; strangely I noticed during the frame rate drops my gpu usage meter on my 2nd monitor is only showing 60%-80% usage. When the usage is pegged at 99% the game runs smoothly.
- According to the GPU Meter widget the accuracy of which I'm not entirely sure of, when playing rage only 396MB of my 1500MB onboard texture memory is in use; as stated earlier I have textures set on large.
- As soon as I enter a vehicle I notice a large drop in frame rate, even when not moving.
[Notes]
- Game issues aside, I'm rather dissapointed in the quality of the graphics. I expected them to be at a much higher level. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28211416/2011-10-13_00003.jpg and http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28211416/2011-10-13_00001.jpg. Too many of the textures are low quality; from the small details to the landscapes. I feel as If I'm playing this game on my console.
- The AI is fantastic; sneaky ninja farquads. *shakes fist*
- The character animations, facial expressions, and voice acting are all well done.
- Pseudo Quote: "Hey new guy that just woke up, do me a favor? Sweet thanks for that, how about doing something else for me?" - Blah blah blah.
- Sometimes the game gives you a hint as to what RAGE really could be. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28211416/2011-10-13_00005.jpg & http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28211416/2011-10-13_00006.jpg I'm looking forward to seeing the improvements.
