Played this game fine for about 4 hours atter it was intalled on my pc - Now, I try to start it up again - get to the "Rage is loading" prompt AND - NOTHING.

Anyone have any idea WHY?

Have u tried to verify steam cache? This may help.

Right Click on Rage in the library.

Left click Properties.

The third Tab has verify cache on it.
