Finally got the game to run on my machine with the following specs:

CPU: Core 2 e7400 2.80Ghz
Motherboard: MSI P45 Neo3-FR
Memory: Kingston 2Gb DDR2-800
Videocard: 9800GT

That's the bare minimum for this game methinks. Anyway the patch didn't help even when all the in-game settings were set to the lowest settings; the texture pop-in bug was still there and the game stuttered severely. Anyway, I'll be posting my very own RAGE tweak guide on my http://imbacore.blogspot.com/search/label/Tutorials%2FWalkthroughs%20-%20Retail%20Games (for people with specs like mine; hopefully it will help them too). Please note that recording software take up a LOT of CPU resources; my framerates are smoother than that seen in the vid. Also, I've compressed the video so I could upload it on YouTube in a reasonable amount of time.

Even then the compressed video weighs in at 1.51GB and lasts for 28 minutes and 46 seconds.

I'll be posting the RAGE tweak guide here within 24 hours. Hopefully it will help some people.

Thanks! Ya, she's old; underneath all that improved architectures lies an old crone by the name of 8800 GT haha! Still serves me well --- well until RAGE came along. It used to eat all the games I fed to it for breakfast (or in the case of Crysis, a VERY heavy snack).

Will post the guide within 24 hours. It's simple and I'm sure it won't help all the people experiencing the bugs but it worked for me as seen in the vid.
