Okay so in the quest where the BOS attacks your HQ glory died...is this supposed to happen or did o do something wrong?

Supposed to happen. And it svcks because she was about the only one I liked.

Personally I think it is a little ham handed... other than one mission and some idle conversations it is not like the story has pushed you to be close enough to Glory for her valiant death to have any real impact on you...

Character 1 I forgot she dies at all. Then again post ending I haven't really been back to RR. The BOS attack on RR took me by surprise - I'd had little contact with them throughout and I was blowing up the institute (which I now know they should like I think) so all a bit confusing.

Character 2 I'm doing BOS questline now so will be interesting to play it out from their perspective.
