Rain and Snow Through Roofs or Not?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 6:21 pm

If you are under a rock overhang or under the roof of some open building (http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u28/VinceB_photo/SkyrimRoofs.png)* and it's raining or snowing, does the rain or snow penetrate through the roof? That is, does it still appear to be raining or snowing although you are under a stone ledge or roof?

Actually, Hrnchamd fixed it for Morrowind (see the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19510). Unfortunately, the method of simulating rain and snow was changed for Oblivion, so Hrnchamd's technique doesn't work for Oblivion. Renner has been working on a similar fix for Oblivion (see http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29508), but it is not completely reliable.
