I keep 3 saves at different times because of things like this. I just finished the Stormcloak quest line and I accidentally hit a Stormcloak soldier during the last battle. After that, I traveled to Riverwood and Ralof attacks me in the inn. I leave the inn and a red dot appears on my compass but appears to me far off in the distance. It says 'Ralof' under the compass with a hostile health bar as if I'm in combat. I can fast travel but everyone keeps saying things they normally say when there's a nearby fight like "A fight!"

I fast traveled again and my wife who was following me died. Seriously? This bug has been around for a while, please fix it!
