Hi i have a problem with my Skyrim on steam ...i've reinstall the game yesterday and install some mods and everything works fine. Today i've got Random freezes ..sooo every 60 sec for 2sec.
otherwise the game runs great i've still 60-100fps on very high setting.
I've tried everything,...re install the game, Run the game without mods, disable crossfirex, run game on low Settings...make the realtime option on the Task maneger and disable Steam Cloud...
My Gpu driver is new and no background Processes with high cpu usage

My Spec: Core I7 950 3.02GHz
12Gb Ram
Ati Readon Hd 6990 4Gb
Win 7 64bit

It could be your hard drive. I have a WD Caviar Green and it's stock setting is to park the head after so many seconds of ideling. This causes the HDD to start and stop frequently. This not only causes stuttering it also wears the life away on your HDD.

Western Digital has a tool for thier drives that will disable the idle head parking 'feature'.
