There's lots of stumps out in the forests of Skyrim where the locals have felled trees.

These stumps were clearly created by a saw.

I have not seen a single felling saw in the game.



My only theory is that Nords are incredibly secretive about their tree cutting activities and keep their saws locked away somewhere when not in use. I may even be breaking some Nord taboo by mentioning it.

shhhht - let's just not talk about it anymore...


but talking about the tree stumps. Besides the obvious lack of saws I like the design of them.

Saws? They just kidnap a greybeard every other year and make him shout down some trees.
