Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 1:32 pm

I heard that the dawnguard DLC included the feature "random werewolf encounter" but i have yet to have it happen to me and i have played since the DLC came out for xbox. So have any of you see them yet? or is it all lies!?!?... LIES!!!?

I have yet to encounter any wild werewolves myself, but there is a video on Youtube where someone encountered two wild werewolves.

I have yet to encounter one and was rather looking forward to it. I planned on turning into a werewolf myself and doing battle.

I encountered one shortly after becoming a vampire lord. The name was "Hunter" so I just decided to attack it. It wasn't until I had already launched a spell at it that it had started to transform. The one drain health spell killed it in one shot and left it in a perpetual mid-transformation state. I was really disappointed I didn't get to have an awesome vampire vs werewolf battle. :(

Their there, it's a rare encounter is all and a very rare one at that. Myself personally have only had two werewolf attacks since release, two groups of 2 Vagar werewolves.

Had a whole pack of them attack me yesterday while on way to kill a target for DB west of Windhelm along the river. Think there were 5 or so of them.

For you guys that can confirm the attacks... question. If your a vampire, do you think the attacks will be more frequent? Still the only werewolves I found were ones that existed in the game before dawnguard. Still looking for them and hoping I can be alpha wolf haha

Why would being a vampire increase the odds of a werewolf attacking?

Increase the odds of Dawnguards attacking, but as far as I am aware, there is no Twilight rivalry between vampires and werewolves in TES.

heh I agree it shouldn't increase the odds, but why bring up twilight?

And of all movies for a vampire vs werewolf situation, twilight?

At least use underworld, the vampire lord at least looks like the vampire from there.

There are a lot or vampire/werewolf interactions NOT including twilight which unless I'm tied to a chair and forced to watch... NEVER will. Thats not why I asked that question. What I was trying to find out was if a werewolf would get attacked by wild werewolves seeing as how your common wolf leaves a werewolf alone.

Van Helsing and Underworld are better references to werewolves and vampires. Just saying. So please don't assume I asked cause I want myy Skyim to be like Twilight. if anything my character is more like Blade. KILL all the vampires lol

I've had 3 random Werewolf attacks. They appear more so when you're around level 30 I think, although, I had my first encounter with 2 when I was Level 24. You have to have Dawnguard installed to be able to get these though.

The wild werewolves will attack you ( as a player werewolf ), I tested to make sure. I managed to save my game just before I bumped into a group of wild Vagar werewolves and transformed myself to see if they would still attack me, they did so I had to show em who's the Alpha wolf of Skyrim  If you go to Gallows rock and visit the trapped werewolves that the Silver hand have locked up you can transform and the trapped werewolves are not hostile towards you ( while in beast form ). If you read up on werewolves on the Wiki site it explains it as that the wild werewolves are feral and will attack anything including a player controlled werewolf, which svcks!! I was hoping to make a small pack in-game and terrorize the wilds.

paging carrots to the screen shot thread in the regular (not dawnguard) spoiler forum, paging carrots to the screenshot thread. Managed to get some different kill animations for the werewolf.

where is the best place for an attack? It will have epic pics when I find one.

I've only had 2 attack as of yet, one was in the mountains surrounding Markarth up by http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Mor_Khazgur and the other was not to far off the side of the road on the way to Whiterun, maybe 30-40 feet off the road, other then those 2 I have not had anymore attacks. Start tracking hunter that you bump into in the wild, there are supposed to be a couple hunters that are werewolves.

I personally have not seen a hunter turn into a werewolf but others have reported that they have seen them change right in front of them, same thing for the couple wondering the map because a dragon burned their farm down. Some people have reported bumping into him standing over his dead wife in sorrow but the second you go close to him he transforms right in front of you and attacks. Needless to say I spend most of my exploring in search of a werewolf encounter

IMO they shouldn't have been a rare encounter, if anything it should be a regular occurrence. I have about 70+ hours sunk into Dawngaurd now on my main toon, he's done but since Dawnguards release there's been 70+ hours of game play and I have only had 2 encounters, each was a pair of already transformed Vagar werewolves. If you ask me you should be bumping into werewolves just as often as you do any other wild life out on the map, in other words your going to think twice before venturing out on the road at night.

I only found one. And it was a farmer guy that transformed right in front of me. I went VL on them though. My werewolf character hasn't seen one yet. I want an epic Werewolf Vs. Werewolf fight.

I never gave them the chance to do much damage to me, I ragdolled them and kept them on their back. Didn't last more then 30 seconds :lmao:
