I believe I've seen it. Not sure I yet see the point of being able to stay for long periods under water though.

Have you tried it? Plenty of stuff down there

I use a ring of waterbreathing. Less weight to schlepp around. And yes, there's plenty of things to find underwater ...

There are something it is necessary to be able to breath underwater for, for exapmle Pilgrim's Trench, even if you can get down there without WaterBreathing you won't have time to look at anything at all before having to race back to the surface.

Well that's a whole new environment for me to explore then...cool. I've dived down a few times in places, and found a chest or two, but nothing major. Yet.

When I think of a "rare" helmet, I think of Dragon Priests, or DBH stuff. A random enchanted helmet is nothing less than finding 30 septims in a chest...

It's not more rare than any enchanted item.

I've found several types of these helmets but it's a largely unneeded item. Most of the time when opening a chest underwater you find something like 16 gold and an iron helmet. Yeah, if I had that in my chest I'd certainly want to put it in such PITA place to get to.

lol if you can craft it, then its not rare, rare would be Helm of Ygnol, rare would be the dragon priest masks

The underwater aspects of the game still pale in comparison to Morrowind. Where's the pillow barge at?!

I found it and disenchanted it. I spent a lot of time diving down in the sea, but I was disappointed by the lack of interesting things down there. I would love to see more sea creatures, like whales.
