Rare unenchanted clothing

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 12:29 am

Does anyone know of any unique looking unenchanted clothes /robes in the game that can be pickpocketed or otherwise found? I've levelled up pickpocketing to 100 and taken the perks so I could steal Jarl Elisif the Fair and Bryling's dresses for my own character to enchant and wear, but it turns out for some reason I can't. Is there any other way to get them (I'm on the PS3, can't spawn them in using console) or any other nice looking outfits? Thanks

You can get the emperors robes.

Not sure if you could get them outside of the Dark Brotherhood questline, but I know for a fact you can get two pairs (one off of his person, and another in his room) during the DB quest.

That one Imperial chick that you murder during the Dark Brotherhood quests (during her wedding) has unique white/red noble clothing, as well as sandals (which turn into red boots for guys) and a wreath. You don't have to loot her during the quest, her coffin will have it all in the hall of the dead. In the East Empire warehouse (off of the Solitude docks) you can find a unique Imperial Legion helm and the same clothing/boots that Jarls wear, dunno if you can get there without doing a certain Thieves Guild quest though.

Three actually. The first encounter with the soup also has one to offer.

This one is really great looking. The Wedding Wreath cannot be enchanted, sadly. The sandals and dress are awesome though.

---

Ulfric drops his armor during the Civil War quests for the Legion, though unsure if you can pickpocket it at other times.

----

Tavern Clothes look unique, and you can get them from most bartenders. There is also a free one in Liar's Retreat.

Also, Radiant Raiment sells:

Chef's Hat + Tunic look great

Blacksmith's Apron (multiple colors)

College Robes

Hammerfell Garb (has a cape!)

Monk Robes

Mourner's Clothes (cool pouch on the side) + Mourner's Hat

Various Redguard pieces

Thanks for the help. I think I've seen one of the Jarls wearing emperor's clothes too, I'll see if I can pickpocket that and then check out Ulfric too. There are a lot of clothes models that I think would be really nice if it wasn't for all the damn dirt. I have tried Mourner's clothes, Chef's clothes, Tavern clothes, Redguard stuff, and even the Fine clothes are all caked in mud. Just because no one else is Skyrim washes, doesn't mean my character has to have appalling hygiene too. I think Vaermina's robes are the only clean looking clothes I've found in this game so far. Yeah, I realise this is a really odd and petty reason, but it still bothers me far more than it should. :P

Is there a way to get the red Hammerfall hood that a certain NPC wears?

Well, there's a grey one in Radiant Raiment. I didn't have high enough pickpocket when I did that quest to check. =( Ugh, I wish all clothes/armor models were just made easily available.

I'm kind of bummed out with the clothing selection in Skyrim... one of the things I loved to do in Oblivion was collect really rare/odd clothes. Oblivion also had a number of weightless clothing items, which tended to be pretty rare.

I have a couple pairs of weightless shoes I snagged from someplace, but that's it.
