To reach level 60, how many skill points?

Post » Mon Sep 03, 2012 4:43 pm

Just wondering. Done a perk calculator, figured out what perks I want, and it's looking to need me around the level 60 mark.

What I want to know though is, just using the skills I want my character to use, will this be enough?

So, assuming I can have 7 skills at 100, therefore 700 skill points, what level would I be if I JUST had those? (I know you gain the odd one here or there through skillbooks or unintentional stuff).

*Edit - and please no-one link that basic level simulator that seems to be everywhere. It isnt accurate. You can set all skills to 100 and it says you'd be level 70, with 69 perks. Whereas you'd actually have 80/81 perks from levelling everything to 100.

Seven? Not even close. I had to grind extra skills (alteration and restoration for example), buy light armor and block training just to get to 60.

This is after I maxed out Illusion, Conjuration, Enchanting, Smithing, Sneak, Archery, Pickpocket and Lockpicking.

This reply is extremely unhelpful.

Please either answer HOW MANY SKILL POINTS I would need to reach level 60;

OR

WHAT LEVEL WILL I BE if I have 700 skill points.

All your reply tells me is some irrelevant information that 700 skill points does not equal level 60. Well, I could assume that myself thanks.

Use this

http://www.ign.com/builds/the-elder-scrolls-5-skyrim/create?

Just fill in the perks until you reach 100 for each skill

Apparently max out 700 skill points (or 7 skills) get you to level 37

And apparently to get 60 you need to max out at least 12 skills

All assuming that all skills are equal

Did the math for you just because I love you...

I had to substantially build up (but not necessarily max out) a total of 13 skills to get to L60.

thanks for this reply. but that site doesnt actually calculate the skills points needed, just says what level you need to be to have the perks you want.
Also, I dont think 700 points equals level 37. Even the inaccurate (by at least ten levels too short) site I talked about earlier thought I would have reached about level 50 with those.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Leveling - google is your friend. Use the uesp to work it out, every skill increase gives you the new level in skill points. So a level up of 20 to 21 would give you 21 xp points.

Therefore level 100 in one skill grants 100*101/2 = 5050 xp points. But you start at level 15 for most skills, so 5050 - 15*16/2 = 4930 xp points from level 15 to level 100.

The formula for xp level up is (current level + 3)*25 so roughly to get to level 60 you need (60*61/2 + 3*60)*25 = 50250 xp points and to get to level 81 it's 89200 points.

Seven level 100 skills on their own, trained to level 100 from 15 will give you 34510 xp points.

34510 = [n*(n+1)/2 + n*3]*25
n^2 + 7n - 2760 = 0
n = [-7+(49+2760*4)^1/2]/2
n = 49.15

So level 49. Do remember you will have other skills leveling up, the odd skill book, speech when buying/selling, trainers etc.
