Realistic Looting

Post » Thu Jan 10, 2013 5:22 pm

I'm starting a roleplay character who has to sleep and eat and not fast travel - trying to do little touches to make it more real, like only changing clothes in my house or inn instead of in front of people.

Then, I went to my looting habits. I just went through Helgn, and usually I leave most everyone naked and carry as much as I can to make a good amount of starting gold. But, then I thought carrying 10 full sets imperial armor, four long bows, and so forth didn't make much sense. I thought I should true t be a little more realistic in my looting. Looting smaller things only and so forth. Now, the downside is less money early on - later I usually dont bother looting armor anyones from normal people, not worth enough gold then. Then I was thinking should I also limit my carry weight to 100-150.

Iono, Im still thinking about. But, I was wondering if anyone else ever looted like this - what did you do? Ot if anyone had any thoughts?

In Oblivion, I pretended I had some "magic stones" or whatever that would store stuff. Almost like the Bag of Holding, which then I found out was a mod for Oblivion so I used that. Made looting a bit more realistic IMO. Either way, it didn't bother me much, not even in Skyrim
