Am I really that sick?

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 12:06 am

Ok, so I am about 5 hours into the game, and I am also playing a Dunmer. As I went along, one person said "My dear, are you sick?" I didn't think nothing of it and went on... but now.. there has been 12 people that asked me if I am ill or sick... What is that about? I know I didn't get any diseases... I just can't figure it out.

Look under active effects and look for anything suspicious.

Oh... it says I do have a disease.. but how? I have only been in one cave, and nothing popped up if it did. Also, how do I get rid of it?

I'm sure there are potions or spells to fix it. I'm only 7 hours into the game myself so I'm not sure how :/

Go to a temple or drink a cure disease potion. (or spell).

The lack of UI feedback is one of the major issues that shouldn't have made it to launch.

Use an altar for one of the Nine (there are temples in all the major cities) or buy and drink a potion of Cure Disease.

Spoiler
Use a cure disease spell, buy a cure disease potion from an alchemist and/or make one... or you can pray at an altar.

Really? Why would you automatically know that you've contracted a disease?

I was looking at the stats page and thought "hmm no stats for diseases contracted, don't tell me they are not in?" But later on a picked up a cure disease potion, thought absolutely nothing of it, until someone told me I didn't look well, checked my active effects and sure enough I was sick. Not for long though *gulp* :-)

By the time symptoms manifest, you would know. Not to mention beneficial or harmful spell effects. You know, the same way it's been implemented in all previous ES installments prior.

Because if you look bad enough that every man and his dragon is asking if you're sick, you should probably be able to feel something.
