Recall?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 11:34 pm

Hey

Probably sounds like a stupid question/idea, but is there anything stopping them from doing a recall for the PS3 version?.

I know other industries do product recalls if faults are found after sale, so why don't this or any other video game company do the same thing?.

Just seems immoral to release a product knowing its messed up, and not to fix it. Yeah they will release patch after patch to make it seem like its being worked on. But those who have played the Fallout series will know that it never really gets fixed. And months after the release, it will be forgotten about, and they will move onto the next money making project that they have.

Maybe im just cynical in my old age, but i'm just saying how i see it.

Hopefully it will get fixed so that we can enjoy something we paid good money for. My heart tells me that it wont though.

It is possible. However, a fix is much more likely to come in the form of a patch, not a disc.

Fwiw, Civ 5 had the same issue at launch. The cache leak got so large that it was unplayable. And it was fixed via patch.

Dragons Age: Origin had very similar problems too (drastic drops of frame rate) and was (semi) fixed as well

I am 38yrs young if that matters.

I just hope it don't get left like Fallout, particularly the NV game. They released a patch or two for that, yet the PS3 version still had so much lag and stutter after the patches.

Its a shame because Skyrim could be the best game ever if it wasn't laden with issues.

We need to pressure Sony for a recall. ZeniMax (Bethesda's master) won't do it on their own.

Well, seeing as they haven't issued a recall, i assume that's them pretty much stating that they can fix all the issues the game has on the PS3.

If they keep leaving it and giving us false hope, then the game wont be work jack for trade in. And most likely we wont be able to get a full refund. Not that Ive ever been able to anyway.
