If you've got the money I'd recommend FRAPS.

Fraps is pretty good, but if you want to record your voice you better have a good headset with mic (so it does′t do noise) Or a pretty good mic.
If you want to record game and voice i would Recommend Dx-tory BUT!! you really need a good machine to record with DX-tory! But is one of the best if not the best

Why is Dx-Tory better, well because it separates your voice with the game Audio this way you can put your voice a bit higher and remove any noise your mic does

They probably cost about 20 to 50 $ max, its easy to know just go to their website.

Also you will probably need a good redering program, i would recomend Sony Vegas, but i have to warn its Pretty expensive! last time i saw it was 100 $ of course there are versions cheaper and the latest ones are just To Damn Expensive!

I have all those 3, so i talk of my own experience

Audio wise I don't have a headset except the one I use with my 360 an I was thinking of just game audio cause I hate talking while I'm gaming but if I was to do audio it would be during the editing when I can concentrate on it but money wise I was also thinking free I'll pay if it's something I'll use a lot but I'm kinda interested in doing a dead is dead character an would like to film it.

I'm interested in this as well. However, I am a cheap bastard and don't want to pay for anything.

If I actually find myself getting into a serious LP series and by some odd chance that there is actually anyone bored enough to watch them... THEN I may be willing to come off with some monies to upgrade to a better quality recording program.

But to test the waters, I am not going to drop a dime on anything that may be a lost cause from the gate.

WeGame client, it's free, it's limitless recording time. Only downside (to the free version that is) is that the video recording gets cut down in half. If you record an 800 x 600 resolution video for example, it will be resized to 400 x 300.
