Reddit outlines a major problem with TESO and why it will li

Creating lore of a major event in the past that is nowhere referenced in TES games is bad enough, but it gets worse, and I agree.

Yeah.. don't see the point in posting that. Thats same argument has been regurgitated on this forums dozens of times already.

Besides pretty sure cross posting and advertising other forum threads is no no moderator wise.

Is this the thread where we discuss the merits of cheese in sandwiches?

It is in fact.

American or Cheddar? Provolone or Colby Jack?

This won't end well...

Personally, I think this is a major boon to the game. Continuing the Elder Scrolls history after Skyrim could potentially render future titles or TESO itself defunct. An MMO is constantly growing, and that could conflict terribly with future games, and many people would rather continue playing the MMO rather than new games anyway.

Setting it in the past however, there will continue to be a lot to discover about the Elder Scrolls universe in future games, and TESO will not contradict anything.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but later accounts of the Oblivion Crisis were way off what actually happened.

Saying that pieces of the lore are 'inaccurate' - that's a perfectly reasonable assumption.

What kind of nonsense is this?
Where else is new lore going to come from? It has to be present since Arena?
Didnt Skyrim introduce the Dragon War, for instance, and Oblivion the Alessian Pact?
Didnt Morrowind explain what happened to the Dunmer and Daggerfall establish the Septim Empire?
Arena didnt even have Daedra.

Since they are setting TESO 1000 years? in the past, it means they still plan on developing TES VI at some point. I may try this out, but the last online game I played was Ultima Online. It was great for awhile but after some years it broke down because of powergamers and resource farmers. If TESO goes even half the time UO has gone, it will be a major sucess.

Reddit is why society is failing.

Yes, you are right. Never mind the fact that bankers have hijacked our governments, and are deemed too big to prosecute for their horrible crimes. Or that last year alone, the world's top 100 richest people earned enough to completely end extreme poverty, and still walk away with several hundred million each. Never mind the fact that a growing schism of inequality between social and financial classes is tearing apart at the very fabric of western civilization. It also couldn't be that unending wars to advance corporate agendas are eclipsing growing domestic and social problems at home, all the while liberties, freedoms, and social services including health care are being cut.

Yeah, the problem with society is Reddit - a forum for debate and for people to share their opinions, whether you agree with them or not. Tell me, how did you become so insightful?

Why will ESO fail? Because doomsayers and everything-haters will spew their "dis game will fail" messages and influence peoples' minds. If you tell the pulbic something often enough, they'll believe it, at least subconsciously.

And apart fromt hat... "Oh my, I found a slightly amusing image makro. Better treat it like the ultimate truth about things yet to come."
