I recently started a new character, a pure redguard warrior, getting my inspiration from the Alikr warriors you see in the game, who i think look awesome! It was only when I have decked myself out with my Steel/Hide shield, scimitar, redguard boots, Alikr Hood and Hammerfell GArb that I realised the clothing had no armour rating. It's not considered armour! Why is this, many people I hope will agree with me when I say its the best (only) thing that looks good on a Redguard warrior. And yet I can get killed vey easily, by even common bandits.

I tried as hard as I could to RP, because, I did look very awesome, but when i'm getting killed left right and center by enemies. I even find it very tough to kill RE opponents, despite there only being about 3-4 of them at a time.

I still love my character but i'm finding it very hard to play. Are there any armour combinations (mixed or same type idc) that look as good on a Redguard as the Hammerfell clothing?

Use Alteration and get the Mage Armor perks. You can still wear your Redguard Clothing and have a decent armor rating.
