At every launch, I just realized, it always say "performing first time set up" then something pops up saying installing VC Redist....then in like 3 seconds it closes and the game starts.....still with the unplayable stuttering as in my other post. Is there someway to install this? Perhaps that is whats leading to this stuttering when trying to play.

I've tried Cat 11.9, the Rage driver package and the 11.10 version 2 preview....nothing works...

Hopefully if this failed VC Redist install is fixed the game may run properly.

Yea try that and let us know if it fixed it for yours and maybe we can try it too.

After some searching there are a few different VC packages....hopefully someone in the know here can let us know what package we need, and to see if that fixes it. I'm ok with computers and stuff, but this is over my head,LOL.

If the VC_Redist is installed and Steam is still insisting on reinstalling it every launch of RAGE, see these instructions to tell Steam to not do it any more:
