Reference Bug 2.0! and other Glitches

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 1:28 pm

Ok the first major glitch I had was after spending 2 or maybe 3 hrs on customizing my characters looks when I exited the creation screen and it asked me to save changes or cancel, I selected save of course and the game, screen, everything froze. I had to shut off my 360 from the console button and of course nothing was saved for my character creation.

Second major glitch is I've seen is, a couple of items disappearing and dialog not happen when it's suppose to, the old nightmare of Oblivions/Shivering Isles reference bug started haunting my brain again when I started noticing these things. Gawd I hope this isn't the case.

Other glitches include terrible scripting for dialog cutscenes and during gameplay. Meaning sometimes the characters will cut off another characters dialog and stopping it before it was even finished. Or they will begin there dialog and talk over the other characters talking when it is clearly not suppose to happen. to many dialog scripts are being activated at the wrong time or cut off before they finish.

Lighting and shadow tearing and popping most notably to me is on structures like houses castles etc....during the day. I haven't played much yet so I haven't seen what night "lighting/shadows, textures, etc..." looks like yet for a comparison.

Character animations glitchy as heck and can be seen all the time anytime anywhere. Example ncp was killed with a slash attack and when he started to fall to the ground to die all of the sudden he glitched and was standing straight up and then fell down to die again. Stiff dragon and character animations most notably when there turning to walk or run in a new direction etc... and when coming out of cutscenes there's sometimes small teleporting of ncp bodies (like flickering and moving a couple inches over) or instantly altered body poses/animations.

I have a feeling Skyrim is going to wind up having more problems and glitches than Oblivion ever dreamed of sad to say.

Update:
I noticed that all my autosaves that have piled up are all labeled AUTOSAVE 2, not 1, 2. 3, etc...I have the feeling these will become corrupt in the future.
Does anyone else have the same deal with the autosave files?

Yeah that is normal. Nothing to worry about as far as there being three autosaves.

Why are they all titled the same though? Won't they eventually conflict with eachother?

I think they are for different situations (sleeping, going from one area to the next, fast travel, or other). Not sure which is which.
