Regarding the 1.2 update

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 8:56 pm

So I did read what the patch fixes but was wondering will the problem with the houses be solved in this patch, I'm talking about the bug that makes a mess of your house whenever you goto it. Just want to know if it's going to be safe to decorate my houses or not.

Hope someone can answer this.

By the way I am kinda new to this game but love every minute of it and enjoy all my time in Skyrim.

When you read what the patch fixes, did it say it fixed this problem?

Loving it too so far, but worried about hitting some of the quest bugs. There is nothing in the patch notes to say any of your stuff will be addressed, so probably best to assume now. All we can do is log what we find as clearly as possible and hope for a future patch. Personally I'd be happy with some feedback from the guys in Bethesda.

1.2 was to address the immediate technical issues with the game that are highly consistent. I would imagine (and seriously hope) that fixes for quests and other unique situational glitches are being worked on as we speak.

The house problem only occurs of you save it inside your house, quit to the menu and load your save, or turn your xbox off come back later and load. to get around this, simply dont save it inside your house. simple really.

The biggest problem with the Xbox 360 version of Skyrim is the texture bug and rightfully so it was a top priority for Bethesda. The next patch will most likely fix most of the broken quests, people need to understand 1.2 won't fix everything, it takes time to fix a game with as many bugs as Skyrim has. It's clear Skyrim wasn't ready for an 11.11.11 release but Bethesda went through with it because the date looks cool.

Quests bugs are worse. What's the eta for the patch?

The texture bug has affected more people than broken quests have. I'll agree broken quests are more of a problem than a texture issue but Bethesda are simply looking at the numbers. If 80% of Xbox 360 owners have the texture issue then it's a pretty serious issue, I don't know the exact percentage of people with broken quests but I know for sure it's a lot less.

The ETA for the patch is around 9am - 12pm GMT tomorrow, but that's just a rumor based off common update times.

No, now they are trying to figure out how their patch completely broke resistances.

Anyone know if patch 1.2 screws resistances on Xbox aswell?

Has anyone noticed any new problems after patching?

I'm a bit nervous to download it, may wait a few days.

I don't know anyone who has this texture issue. I know alot of people who can't complete several quests, including myself of course. Im no marketing expert or anything but I think everyone has had atleast a few quests they can't complete.
Make the game pretty after you make it work. I would bet more programmers are working on add ons to sell than patches. All about the money. That's why we are dealing with a massive amound of glitches and disappointments.
