A remake of Daggerfall

So, would you like it if they made a remake of Daggerfall, or would you dislike Bethesda for not focusing energy on another Elder Scrolls

Daggerfell was a great game, but I think Bethesda should focus on TES V instead of remaking Daggerfell.

I think they should be a free downloadable or make it available for more platforms. Maybe as a part of a lost treasure package with BS, SK, and RG and maybe some others. Not arena since you can download it for free. I'd prefer it to be available for modern platforms.

Daggerfall is a great game, it doesn't have to be remade. Besides, it would be stupid of bethesda to remake an existing game when many other people are looking forward to the fifth Elder scrolls title.

1 problem with this. The fact that if bethesda remakes Daggerfall,it will take probably 4 or more years to make at huge game like that. which is pointless when you can download the older version. which makes it a classic. And then we cant depend on Bethesda and asking when they will make a BRAND new game otherwise that will take 10 years later. Do we really want to wait that long? or would you just rather let them work on a brand new TES game and make us wait only a few year. and not make it longer with a daggerfall remake?

TES 5 could very well replace daggerfall.

If the Devs learned their lesson, TESV could very well be like Daggerfall.

I would agree with you if this was about the size of the gameworld, but i have this feeling that it is the PvP feel (who Daggerfall apparently had) you want back.

I just had a really odd dream last night. I was playing OB GOTY or some other addition on 360 and they had all of the best mods on it. At the end of some random but long quest for Octo I was given a weird choice leader of the house of redoran, high fame or high infamy .
Of corse I chose Redoran. So I went to my castle And it was huge and some how I found a doorway to wayrest castle and from there all of daggerfall.

So that made me think Daggerfall and Morrowind in an elder scrolls package game. I don't think it would be that hard because Morrowind is already on most plat forms and Daggerfall just needs to be ported and avalible. It would help some of the OB gamers get some back round for the story of the next game. And it would set a bar for openness and general quality of the next game. Not to mention make me extremly happy. :)

I had almost the same dream, except in the end they started going 'round and 'round in front of me until they formed a ring. And it came to me that that was the molecular structure of benzene! Unfortunately 130 years after it had already been done.

I can't see a remake being done, either, but one advantage for me if they did is that it might help Bethesda get back on track and remember what made their earlier games so good. At the rate Bethesda is going, their next game might be down to two skills, one highly detailed block, an "autoplay" button, and a compass that runs the whole game for you!

I wouldn't want a REMAKE of Daggerfall. If Daggerfall didn't have those charming sprite-based graphics where you can count the pixels on one hand, it wouldn't be as good. If it were remade with modern graphics, the randomly-generated quests and towns would stick out like a sore thumb.

Converting both Arena and Daggerfall to a format that's compatible with Windows, however, would be a great service to the fans. I'd love to be able to play Daggerfall without messing around with the whole DOSbox thing. It might not be profitable for them, though, and if it's not profitable, they ain't gonna do it.

I remember LucasArts did that with X-Wing and Tie Fighter, though. They published a Windows-compatible package of both games. Why not Bethesda?
