Remember those who can't play Skyrim

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 9:04 am

So in the days running up to the arrival of the next chapter in The Elder Scrolls, I've been thinking of all those gamers, modders, fans who aren't here anymore. I remember playing Morrowind for the first time way back in 2003 and being awestruck. I eventually found my way to the modding community. A modder really inspired me and I felt honored to have explored his creations. He' s not here now and he also missed out on Oblivion. That modders name was Grumpy and his creations for Morrowind were mind blowing. The best thing about him was his ability to convey his enthusiasm & kind nature for the TES community and modding.

I thought it would be nice if a thread was started where people could remember those friends, gamers, & modders who passed away. A place to spend just a moment and reflect on those people who would have loved to explore Bethesda's new creation. So, if you want to, post a remembrance about a friend or family member, a modder or developer who inspired you to dig a little deeper into the world of Tamriel. Maybe if we can meditate a bit on how lucky we are to explore the land of the Nords, it will make the initial release day bugs and stress seem a little trivial.
