Remnant's Bunker

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 2:16 am

I am curious how does one access this bunker. It says a password is needed and ED-E just recently disappeared when I entered this one cave with the lake lurks within he was with me he got knocked out and one of the lake lurks got stuck in the wall where I couldnt kill him so both the BOS girl thats following me as well as ED-E wouldnt wake up so I left the cave and she appeared but ED-E didnt, he also wasnt at Primm and going back in the cave turned up nothing either.

I am going to kick myself if I have to turn back the clock 3 hours worth of game playing to my last hardsave before ED-E disappeared with all my stuff if I need him to access this bunker.

I would check the wiki but I dont want to spoil myself on what I might find there. Just want to know if I need ED-E to gain access to the bunker or not. If not would be helpful on a hint on where to look for the password.

ED-E has nothing to do with it.

If you want a hint where to look, check out the Old Mormon Fort. That's all I can give you without being direct.

But apparently the people below me don't care about not spoiling it for you. So don't read further unless you want specifics.

You do not need EDE. Talk to Arcade Gannon.

It's part of the For Auld Lang Syne quest, which is given late in the game by Arcade Gannon, if you do enough things he approves of.

Ok, I found Gannon but he talks about turning the gang into a posse which I am wondering which gang theres more than one gang in new vegas. And what does he mean by turn it into a posse, kill half of them or talk them down or what. Its very vague to be honest.

You can only have one human companion. Dismiss your current one - you'll be able to get them back.

I didnt want spoilers as in what ill find in the bunker or the back ground story of the bunker and the remnant's. I just am stumped on this cause I dont want to go on a killing rampage in freeside to make the kings a small posse before he would go with me if thats not what he ment. When I have ED-E and take the robo dog it tells me "i can only have such and such companion" but when I ask him I dont get that so I dont know. I would hate to dismiss that BOS girl thats following me and then have to track her down if that wasnt it.

I got what you get for that quest the hard way. It was a VERY tough fight.

What isnt a tough fight in the game. Im a level 27 right now and its still murder on some enemies. Some times I just have to either fall back and run away or let my follower keep them busy long enough for me to get a few head shots in.
