Remove DLC on Steam

Post » Sun Sep 23, 2012 6:35 pm

Hi everyone,

I play Skyrim on Steam and installed Skyrim: High Resolution Texture Pack (Free DLC) a day ago. Now my game crashes all the time and is not playable anymore. (I was in Blackreach when I installed it and everything is fine as long as I stay in Blackreach but as soon as I try to leave everything crashes.) As I didn't find any solution myself I wanted to ask whether there is an easy way to remove the texture pack or whether I'll have to remove the game and reinstall it?

Only way i've heard of is to contact Valve and ask them to remove it. But you can deactivate it by just unchecking the related plugin files in the Launcher's "Data Files" section or a mod manager.

Also that is treated like DLCs, so it is downloaded automatically every time you reinstall the game from now on.
