For example, I'm using the mod "Non-Automatic Skill Books" which gives you a choice when picking up a skill book of reading it now, or adding it to your inventory without reading it. I assume if I rename one of those Skill Books, the "Non-Automatic Skill Books" mod would overwrite that name because it modifies the book to attach the script? If this is the case, is it safe to load that plug-in and modify the names to my liking so that it matches the other book names I've modified? Is it possible to force a name to stay the same for an object regardless of other mods that may change the item properties (such as mods that change potion weight, for example) or add scripts (like the skill book mod)?
