{REQ}Better LiftingPlacing {Srsly}

Hey guys,

Anyone have/know of a mod that allows you to more easily/accurately lift and place items? For example, I have a statue of Dibella that I can't place on a table because...frankly for god knows what reason Beth decided to make it lift from the bottom. I'd really like to be able to arrange my house as I see fit, but just can't get accurate enough item placements.

Something that lifted from the crosshairs would be ideal, but I'd settle for anything better than the default.

(PS If you have more knowledge of the CK than I do, and would be willing to point me in the right direction I'm willing to do the work if a mod does not exist.)

You can move stuff with console commands, though it takes some getting used to. There are four commands: GetPos, SetPos, GetAngle, and SetAngle. You click the object in question, and then use the commands to get information and then modify it based on guessing where you want it to go. You have to put an axis after any of these commands (x y or z) and a value for the two Set commands. So you'd do say, "GetPos x" and it'd tell you the x coordinate for the targeted object. You could then adjust it with "SetPos x #" with the position you wanted. Angle works the same way, you can rotat it on all three axis. I usually just set it standing up straight and don't fiddle with it much, but you could do more natural positions for objects resting against something.

There's also Decorate Assistant (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13586) which lets you do much the same thing except with a (somewhat clunky) interface. Haven't tried the SKSE version, since I'm playing on a gamepad. You basically end up doing the same thing as the commands, except you're clicking menu options and bumping the item around in increments.
