{REQ} Disable health regen!

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 1:49 am

A pretty simple mod request to disable the health regen outside of battle. It works for Halo and CoD, but please leave it out of my Elder Scrolls!! :)

This would give potions and food much more use and definitely increase the tenseness of being out in the wild.

This does HAVE to go, but i believe the creation kit needs to be released first.

I believe you're right... I just thought I'd raise awareness as I haven't seen a lot of discussion on it. Something so minor plays such a huge role as a detractor for me!

You can type the command in the console but every time you reload you must type it again. This is annoying as hell.

Can't find it. Found one mod about regeneration, but it's magicka or stamina and not health.
The other link lead to a "hidden" file that is not accessible.

here is the link that I believe they are referring to http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=96

This is what is stated on the page

In-game: open the console with the tilde (~) key (left of the 1 key), and type:
player.setav healrate 0.0

Press tilde again to return to the game. The standard healrate is 0.7. You can check an AV with player.getav.

The drawback is every time you load or reload you must re-enter it by hitting tilde, arrow key then enter.

The simplest way of dealing with having to type it in every time you load a game is:

Create a text file in the folder with your game executable called A (no extension).
Put the commands that you want in there.
Save it.
In game, now you just have to type 'bat a'.

The 'bat' command treats a text file as a batch file and executes every line in there.

I will be adding this to my mod, you will find much more to it but I will make most of it configurable http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1285738-fentuss-awesome-mod-for-awesome-people-famfap/page__st__60.

Thats not true. Modifying the health- magicka or stamina-regeneration values with this command via the console is permanently and saves with the savegames. So if you alter it, save and reload it's still there. Same with timescale. Carry weight changes on the other hand unfortunately change back to default when loading a savegame
