REQ: More Mage Robes

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 7:16 pm

All I've seen at Vendors are the Novice, Appr..Adept etc. I recieved some cool robes from quest lines but they are enchanted with crap I'd rather replace. Anyone going to make a robe mod? Allowing robes like Thalmor.. archmage etc.. to be bought unenchanted?

I personally think the Archmage robes look as if they belong on a hunter/gatherer. (They totally look like leather) But they are so good that I cant afford to use a robe that looks like what you'd find a mage in.

But I agree, Unenchanted Thalmor robes would be amazing...if only Enchanting could make robes 1/4 as good as the robes you find on people.

They do sir! Drink Elixer of Enchanting (or something similar) then make sure you have some decent enchantmentingness about you, get a grand/black soulgem filled with a grand soul and voila!

A master enchanter wearing good enchanting gear and potions can destroy the Archmage Robe with a single enchant. And he gets to put two, on every single piece.

As it happens I'm planning an "Armored robes" mod - Basically robe versions of the different armor sets. They'll be smithable and unenchanted.

Nice! I am thinking from some time now about doing (modding in) an order of warrior mages, that wear armored robes and wield staffs :P This will come in handy.
