I require help good people!

I am very (can't truly express how much) excited for TES: O, but I've been a console player for all of my life and obviously need a computer to play this on. Lacking any knowledge on what is required for a game to run, I made a deal with myself to get a job (I'm 16) and spend the ladder of this year saving for an alienware x51, shooting for the best as to have no room for failure. What with its daunting price tag I was wondering if ther are any cheaper yet efficient ways of producing a gaming desktop? I also have no idea how to assemble computers. Any help would be appreciated.

Alienware used to be pretty pricy, but I think nowadays they are competitive with any vendor besides build it yourself. Their low end x51 is only $699. Thats not including monitor, but still.
