No it won't.

You need a 3DTV and the glasses that come with it. :(

if you arent informed why not just shut up? i dont mean to provoke you, its just, youre not contributing anything with misinformation like that and you probably dont even know youre wrong judging from the way you worded it.

There are several methods of 3D available to choose from, and among those there is atleast one anaglyph mode. Which means color coded, red/blue, yellow/blue, whatever. You just have to buy the right glasses and it will work on ANY screen. Of course its not as easy on the eyes, or convincing as polarized or shutter glasses 3D will be but 3DTVs still cost a lot of money.

substitute for an EDIT function:
i can't name a source, but i saw a video (impossible to search for it, theres thousands of it all repeating the same tidbits over and over, every interview being as generic and marketing-y as the next etc etc) ...and someone from crytek mentioned anaglyphic 3D as an option in the final game.

so its kind of strange that in the other thread Cry-Lee posted you absolutely need a 3DTV. is the internal stance on this not clear yet? was anaglyph cut because of some deal with a TV manufacturers' cartel? ;-)
either way i was too certain about anaglyph being in it as i cant find that information anywhere in written form per google.

Are you stupid? Im quoting an exact statement from a Crytek community manager that wrote in the forums about this, get your facts striaght before you attack someone trying to help.

i already posted a second comment referring to Cry-Lee's comment. Obviously I apologize for coming across a little too harsh IF I turn out to be wrong. Fact is: I heard someone from the boss-level of Crytek, Nathan or Cevat, say 3D will be possible on 2D displays or that there is anaglyph mode (both of those mean the same thing) and community managers on this site have made false statements before. We simply don't know what is the case now until we get some official listing of what is supported and what isn't. This could be 'We originally wanted to include anaglyph but later removed the feature because xyz.'

@WhiteKing: the anaglyph demonstration was only shown at Siggraph 10 as a learning class, it wasn't supposed to represent Crysis 2 in any way. The 3D method Crysis 2 uses is strictly stereoscopic. For some reason Crytek decided to also give a lesson in anaglyph at the siggraph this year.

YES!

There was an interview a few weeks ago about c2's 3D and in it they confirmed that anaglyph 3D will be included.
