Resist Magic Spell

Post » Mon Jul 04, 2011 4:19 pm

Has anyone else had this issue before? I do have the spell Minor Magic Resistance and can cast it. I am using Azura's Star with a greater soul and trying to enchant a Jade Necklace with the spell. I tried making a lower cost version of the spell at the spellmaking alter and its still not showing up in my list of spells when enchanting something. Any ideas as to why, or am I just missing something obvious?

Unfortunately BGS didn't make that magic effect usable for enchanting. So unless you install or make a mod that enables it, you won't be able to enchant using that magic effect in the regular game.

Edit: Sorry forgot to mention one option though. Best bet is to get a sigil stone if you want to enchant your own items with that spell effect.
Edit2: Edited a second time to avoid spoilers in Oblivion General.

schmoe is spot on with the advice. You can make spells with the effect but cannot enchant with it at the altar. In addition to using sigils, you can find pre-enchanted items in the game that provide up to 50% magic resistance once your character is high enough level.

Thanks for the information folks....the wiki page didn't mention that the spell could not be used for enchanting and it was driving me nuts.

Thanks
