[REQUEST] Respawn instead!

I wish I had the talent and know-how to make such a mod, so I leave this request to you talented modders

'Never Dead'
This mod would change the process of death in Skyrim. Normally, upon death, we have to reload to a previous save (and hopefully such saves are not too far back) and continue from there. The addon I am proposing is something similar to your common MMO. When you die, you are re-spawned at a point and sometimes with a negative effect/debuff that punishes you temporarily.
How it can work in Skyrim: When you die you are not greeted with the 'load last save' screen but instead transported to a spot in the world where you have bound. Perhaps even an animation at the bound spot of being raised from death and to your feet to really immerse the player with the idea that they were dead but have returned to life. Another option, is to give a dialog box upon death to allow the player to choose between loading last save or resurrecting at bound site.
This feature would require a binding spell, that has restrictions (to avoid death loops) of where it can be used. Ideas of where a character can be bound (for the purpose of setting a place to be reanimated upon death) can include:
  • Inns
  • Graveyards
  • Standing Stones
  • Dragon Burial Mound Sites
  • Word Walls
To avoid death loops, upon resurrecting a player is given an immunity to all attacks for 1 minute but also unable to attack. There can also be a short duration negative effect added to the character after the immunity buff wears off.

I feel this would add a far more seamless experience, as I believe that a game that is punishing a player for dieing should not contribute to any jarring effects such as being presented with a load last save screen.

I implore any knowledgeable modders to discuss any possible conflicts/issues/difficulties here and I do hope someone who likes this idea and can build such a mod will take the reigns. Also, if you would enjoy such a mod, do show your support by stating it here. I will offer any additional ideas or assistance I can give. I am no modder but I am graphically inclined.

Thank you for your consideration!

So basically something akin to Two Worlds? It would be a different experience to be sure. I imagine this sort of system would be good for Skyrim Online (or whatever the project is called, SkyNet was one of them...I think)
