Do you believe that Skyrim and future TES would benefit from a respect system? Meaning that people respond accordingly to your skills and deeds in the land. Say you slay Alduin so all the guards stop making stupid sweetroll comments (I hate those) and start saluting you or praising your presence. Or if you're a well known murderer/assassin then people would cower when you're near. It could even be hold specific, say you become the harbinger of the companions then the guards of whiterun and its citizens will show you proper respect but the people of solitude or many of the altmer of the land could care less about the companions and old nord customs. Some people would praise you and others would abhor you depending on their alignment and your deeds and/or skills....how would you feel about that?
personally I think TES needs a respect system or something similar as I grow weary of all the improper comments in my presence, especially when whiterun guards talk about me fetching mead when I'm harbinger or things of that nature
