Why can't I get the three merchants you're pointed to to restock their supply of goat horns? These houses require way too many of these things, but waiting doesn't restock their inventory and the old "save, punch, reload" trick doesn't restock their inventory either. It restocks their generic inventory, but not their building supplies.

I know what you mean. It seems that over night, goat horns have become the bane of my life.
Horns, straw and glass.
Why can't we just use the giant pile of straw that's sitting in the stable? Or use malachite instead of glass as we would when making glass armour?

I'm getting pissed off now. My houses didn't get fully furnished by the stewards and no amount of waiting is changing that. I just want to build the basic furnitures, in addition to fireplaces, stoves and lights. But there are so many lights. I think the basemant requires well over a dozen goat horns alone. And with three houses, plus multiple rooms, I need at least 50 horns. They won't restock their horns.

Sounds like building a house may take longer than expected.

What are the goat horns used for? And is it something you can pay your steward to deal with?

Lights, both on walls and hanging from the ceiling. The ones from the ceiling take three a piece. If you don't want a dark house, you need lots of goat horns. Steward can't help.

They are used for chandeliers, lamps, and other light fixtures. I don't recall, but is it possible to get them from killing goats? I knwo we get goat hide, but I can't remember if we get horns too or not. Also, how long have you waited for the new inventory? I think it takes like a week, but I could be wrong.

You can get goat horns from any general merchant, why wait forever for those three to restock? Or go out and kill some goats in the wilds pretty sure you can fetch your own.

The mistake I keep making is making the same things over and over again, and it keeps taking up materials for something that turns out is already built. I made 3 ovens for one kitchen, and keep losing all my iron fittings and goat horns doing the same things again. If someone actually made up a list of what we build for each room it might help that problem.

That isn't normal. Either the game is glitched for you, or you're building things outside without noticing. Normally once you build stuff, said stuff will be taken off the list of things you can make.

It is glitched, there is definitely only one oven, and I definitely made 3, only two at the same time, but I had already made the thing before I went off and got more building supplies. Never thought about it when I made it again. Stopped and looked to see if there was two, there was only one. Went back to the list and there it was again, made it a third time, there was still only the original one there. And I got caught with beds, chests and lights as well, making what was already there before I realised. The beds I count now, but it is hard to tell about chests and lights. And I noticed in one house at least one thing you make seems not appear, I had floating shrines. Turned the console off on that one, will try it again shortly and see if my missing shrine stand appears.
