Restoration loop glitch help

Hi to everyone,

Just like to say in advance that any help is much appreciated

I'm new to this and fairly new to skyrim, only bought the game a couple of months ago after countless recommendations and I'm glad I did as its awesome. Although I've nicknamed it the 'wife loser' as my misses is threatening to destroy my xbox

Anyway back on topic, after building a well balanced imperial for my first character I've decided to start again trying to right the wrongs I made first time round. Obviously the game is running on the latest patch so seeing ways of levelling etc on smithing, alchemy weren't possible and had to do bucket loads of grinding to rank up. I wasted tons of time doing this so wanted to cut that right down this time round. After trudging through tons of forums and vids I found the 'restoration loop glitch', and thought it'd be perfect to quickly bump up smithing, alchemy and speech within small time.

So I deleted the update from my memory on the xbox and have gone about starting a new game. I'm literally a couple of hours in, utilised the faendal trick and levelled up my archery and slapped a couple of perks in one handed. I then went about collecting salt piles from riften and trudging through the river to collect the 2 fish needed to make the fortify resto potion. I am about level 20 in enchanting and level 23 in alchemy and I haven't placed any perks in either of those trees. I managed to get fortify alchemy and smithing enchants and made 4 pieces of apparel which only contain an increase of 8% in alchemy.

At this point I go to dragonsreach in whiterun and proceed to try the resto loop trick. I've followed all the instructions correctly on how place on ur apparel, create the potion, un equip, re equip the apparel and create another potion. Unfortunately it only lets me level twice before it maxes out and I can't repeat.

Things to note, it's very early in the game, literally done no missions, no perks in alchemy or enchantment, both their levels are below 30 and I'm running pre patch/update.

What the hell am I doing wrong or is it simply not possible anymore???

As I said earlier all help much appreciated, thanks.

They might have toned it down a bit a couple of patches ago (not sure since I never tried the "crazy" level of resto looping), but I do have some advice about grinding up noncombat skills at early levels: By about level 25ish, it may start to http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/comics/critical-miss/9245-Skyrim-Tales. So, a slower approach may be better after all.

Probably because you actually need to be pretty high leveled to get significant changes.

Edit: Most people who do this glitch tend to have high levels in Alchemy and Enchanting.

It's possible it's because you're still fairly low level in both Alchemy and Enchanting, and have no perks (which makes it harder to create stronger potions/enchantments). I would try to grind up the skills a bit more first if I were you (the more expensive potions and enchantments, the faster you'll level - this was a mistake I did in my first playthrough, it took me forever to level alchemy since I had no idea that the value of the potions had any significance.

But also this:
