Returning to Skyrim after 6 months

Post » Sun Aug 19, 2012 2:28 pm

Hey guys

I haven't played Skyrim for about 6 months. But lately I feel the urge to play it again. I just don't know if I should start a new character or continue my old one. My old character is kinda overpowered being level 71, even though I play on highest difficulty and did not take blacksmithing or enchanting perks. I have completed all the main quest lines, but I have not discovered all locations yet and I still have many quests undone. With this character I can see what locations I have discovered and which quests I have completed, so I can do new ones. If I make a new character I would probably be doing most of the same quests that I already have done.

Meh... can't decide. What would you do? :)

By the way is there anything new except the expansion? Did they fix magic or is it still so weak?

Make a new character with a very different play style.

In order to have fun with magic you have to use all Schools of Magic while fighting...But since spells take a lot of magicka, being a mage requires you to carry ridiculous amounts of magicka potions, making being a mage completely weak..Magicka takes for ever to recover even when you have 250% increase magicka regenaration rate.

I would start a new character. You're old one is only ten levels away from reaching the limit and it gets kind of boring not being able to level up.

Have you ever considered not powerleveling, but rather slow down and look around? You know...explore, read the books...find rare artifacts...

There's much more to these games than only levelling up. It isn't a MMO after all! :)

I agree with this, alot.
My character is only level 50 with over 200 hours alone on him. I do a whole lot of exploring and dungeon diving!

When you start playing Skyrim again maybe go about it in a different way than you did before. Don't just blast through quest after quest but take it slow and do some adventuring.
