Kotaku: They didn't give a number score, but they liked it. http://kotaku.com/dishonored/

EDIT: I've aggregated all the scores in this thread (Keeping careful to avoid the double GameSpot), and it's a 9.546153846153846. Or you could just say it's a 9.5.

I'm glad the Wot I Thought was so glowing. And I got the impression that Adam Smith liked it even more than he was letting on, but wants to let it percolate a bit before he shoots hot love all over it.

First "mediocre" review of the game by "Gamer Limit", 7/10.
http://gamerlimit.com/2012/10/review-dishonored/

The reviewer spent 6hours on first completion, Imo it seems too little to review games of this shape and size, but yeah that's me in a nutshell.

Yeah, seems to me like the reviewer didn't really "get" the game.

Some minor complaints about the story and the script, otherwise it would have been a 10.

This is actually very funny. The Xcom vs Dishonored dilemma is one I had too. I ended up with Dishonored as I am a very big fan of the "immsim's" but I will def pick up Xcom at some point too. You would think that Xcom and Dishonored were to very different games and therefore not in competition when it comes to release, but because of their 90s type gameplay they actually are  Having them release on the same date is a big problem, its like Xcom is a bigger threat to dishonored sales wise than even borderlands 2

Guardian.co.uk review

Dishonored is a playpen for expression, perhaps not as wide or diverse as it aspires to be, but wide enough. A bold measure on the developer's part then, and a safe bet for the creative player.
