Review, Test it yourself or Play it ?

For everyone/anyone to decide. This thread maybe useful one day. (Hopefully) :)

Hope Crytek is okay with this, it's just a gamer's survey.

I was going to say test, then thought demonstration, but then when I thought about it some more I thought my true feeling is that I don't really want to see too much of crysis 2, rather keep it all a surprise for the moment I get the game for myself. That'll make it more exiting for that moment on march 22/25 next year. Then again some feedback might be needed to improve some aspects of the game, other than that I think I can wait :)

I've never actually waited anxiously for a game before, I can admit its hard waiting and knowing that my favourite game's sequal is coming out but still too far away.

Test so that the bugs and glitches can be worked out before the game is released.

Yea I would say test, but other tests I have participated in have just ruined the game for me. Too many glitches, things you don't like, and suggestions that never get implemented. So, I would rather just wait till march 22 to play it when it is perfect.

Having said that March 22nd can't come soon enough.

Well my birthday is on the 24th and solely cause of that my parents let me preorder the nano Ed. Lucky me :D anyways I really want to wait till release date to do anything wit crysis 2 but now that I think about it it is better for a beta. I want to mainly test out the controls, ping, 3D with a regular monitor, and just a piece of the experience I will have to look forward to on late march :D

I couldn't care less about multiplayer. So a single Player PC demonstration at Crysis 2's Maximum settings would be what has me get it.

I hoped for this too, maybe these small actions will be worth something someday :)

All actions will have positive or negative effect in the long run. :)

Nothing is certain, but the future is for us to decide. Is it not... (too dramatical :P)

I would prefer a full open test for everyone to try out, like with the beta for Medal of Honor.
Problem with the MoH open beta.
It twas crammed full with all kinds of characters that had absolutely no interest in the game as such, and just wanted to make life HELL for anyone who had any interest at all,
I would hate to see that hitting this game, :-(

Why is gamesas down for the public? I had to log into my friends account who recieved a beta invitation, but didn't get the code. From there i logged out from his user on gamesas and into mine. And... here i am =)

Hard one. I do want some new feedback but not too much because it will get spoiled. I do want to test it, but just as for the first one I don’t want to see too much yet. And last, I don’t want them to rush and ruin. (Sorry for any grammatical errors)

My guess is that they don't have enough faith in their game if it went for a public beta. Bad Company 2 had a public beta and it was massively successful in increasing sales, but controversial titles like Medal of Honor failed hard because of it.

Crytek should build up a bigger fanbase with Crysis 2 before trying a hit-or-miss open beta hype campaign like that, maybe Crysis 3 will see an open beta but right now, Crytek probably wants to make sure that they nailed the formula right.

Controversial to this point & understandable, a select beta would seem feasible and a Public beta might get more than the expected attention. Bad Company 2 performed this greatly, others were just as suspicious. Crysis 2 is on the top of the most secretive games list for 2011. :| Meaning, there could be more in store than expected :) Who knows?

maybe instead of a public beta it could be a beta for previous crysis games owners and for general public that applies to it through this site, like some special kind of login
